Bruges did not disappoint, every street is cobbled and lined with medieval buildings. From the picturesque Markt Square, with the multi-coloured guild houses and imposing Belfry Tower to the canals and bridges, there is plenty to see.Read More

On Tuesday the Chinese President arrived here in London and I was lucky enough to be at the Mall when the procession went past, lots of people lined the streets with banners, drums and paper dragons – looked like most of chinatown had walked down for the occasion. The Queen’s guards were there, household cavalry, marching band – the lot! As well as the mall being lined with Chinese and British flags. I know the UK has been accused of sucking up to China, not sure what I think of the politics, but this was a great spectacle to see. I saw the Queen in her carriage (well a clump of grey hair!). Another reason why I’m back here in London – love to capture events like this. This is what I got from base of Duke of York column.
